Introduction to Biology

Biology is an engaging elective course that introduces students to the fundamental concepts of life sciences while exploring topics that connect directly to everyday life. Throughout the year, students will develop an understanding of the characteristics of living things, cell biology, and the scientific methods used to study the natural world. The course also explores human anatomy and physiology, helping students understand how the body's systems work together to maintain health and function. Students will investigate the science of nutrition and learn how food choices affect energy levels, growth, and overall well-being. Learning is brought to life through a variety of hands-on projects and activities, including cooking, animal dissections, and other interactive experiences that allow students to apply what they learn in meaningful and engaging ways.
